Ford flat bed

I just saw this on the Ford Barn:

Parts for SALE: Flat bed (platform bed), measures 65 inches by 80 inches, has usual Ford stake pockets, has "Ford Truck" on rear. $300. Pictures on request.

The 80 inch bed will fit F-2 and F-3.

The "Ford Truck" bed is from a '47 or earlier truck, I've seen them on model AA trucks, but other than the "Truck" on the rear beam they looked just like the beds on the '48 and up. I personally like it better than just the "Ford".

Yeah, I know what you mean. Either it's too far away or I don't have the money. It's always something.

There was a recent post on the HAMB from a guy in Phoenix who just got a 1941 Ford truck with a 3/4 ton flatbed.

Then again, I see yours is a 1/2 ton.

He was selling it? Is the 3/4 ton that much bigger?

This post made me think of an Eagle's song.

Take it easy,

I was trying to "take it easy" while riding my Jeep to Grand Falls on the Navajo Indian reservation a few miles North of Winslow yesterday.

It's hard to explain why a simple phase from the lyrics of an old song could have so much impact. Was it the flat bed Ford or the girl slowing down to take a look at me?
