It could look really cool. $350 sounds like a pretty good deal if the steel is all good. Conversely, there's a guy in my area with a '67-'69 Chevy truck with an '80's-style Chevy stepside box. It's all bright yellow, done nicely. Just saying that it can turn out well even if bodylines don't match up. I like trucks with character, mixing up body styles can sometimes add that character.

 

I'd like to try one of these "old school" beds on my '94. The white '77 was mine and the blue is a beauty from the internet.

 

Actually that flareside bed ran thru 1979. It was changed for the 1980 model year.

 

Yep and they're still not that easy to find.
