1948 Ford F2 new wiring harness
In the local Craigslist there is an ad for a brand new aftermarket 1948 F2 wiring harness...not sure if anyone on the board is interested but you don't see these come up too often, especially for $100.

If someone is interested and the seller does not want to ship then I could help with that if needed.

Julie,
I forgot that the wiring harness, unless it's a universal aftermarket harness, is different between a 6 cylinder and 8 cylinder truck. The starter solenoid is located on opposite sides of the firewall. Also, the '48-50 harnesses is different from the '51 and '52 because of the different dash configuration, along with the harness that runs between the headlights. According to the catalog I have all of the conventional cab trucks have the same harness, within the same year and engine type, but the COEs had a different wiring harness.

Yep I agree Bob! I think we both initiallly made just general statements. The stock harnesses are of course physically configured individually for 6s and 8s, and of course for different positions on the dash (for example separate instrument light toggle switch 48-50). Those differences are more the actual lengths of the wires, etc. I was thinking more from an electrical standpoint. I think the aftermarket harnesses all come with excess length to "cut to fit."
Good points all.
