I think the wife and I are going. We were going to go back to the supernats but it looks like they have taken away the reason.

We go for the Shades of the Past every year but have never been to the truck show and I am excited.

We plan to be there unless something unforeseen comes up.
I doubt that we will ever go to the Nats again, don't want to drive 700 miles to see a bunch of cars.

Just made reservations at The Grand for me, the wife, and my folks. Hey do you guys have anything to recognize the FTE folks or do we just walk around and randomly ask?

We'll be the ones with a multi-colored 53 with a teardrop trailer in tow, stop in and say "hi"

Last year we all met at the Kirspy Kreme on Saturday. I imagine the same will happen this year.

I'm planning on going. Last year I worked Friday, then drove six hours Friday night. I arrived around 1 or 2 AM, if I recall properly. This year, I'm hoping to get the Friday off work, and leave that morning.

As for recognizing me, if it's anything like last year, I'll be one of the two F-350 guys. The one with the plain, basic, horribly un-shiny truck.

KRISPY KREME !!!!!! Man that is just wrong!!!!! ( I'm diabetic )

Maybe if the members would take a spotters card and put on their dash then we could ID each other and it might even draw some intrest into the website. Just a thought. Maybe even put your user name on them.

Or we can just put a FTE bumper sticker on our rigs.

Just subscribing to the thread. Way too early for me to tell anything yet. This way I can keep up with the thread at least.

Hey All,
Thanks Brian for starting a thread on the show.

thendrix: I noticed that you said that you made reservations @ the Grand. Just so you will know that most folks stay @ the Smoky Shadows. That way you can be with your truck and not have to walk as far when you want to take a break. Also the whole hotel has been blocked just for the Truckers.

As far as the FTE members getting together...let me know what I can do to help. I could mabey have something in the registration room that would have some info. about when and where to meet.

Thanks,
Kevin

Looking forward myself to this show, havn't gone yet, been too acouple Supernat's, but plan on trying to make the F100's this summer instead. "Shade in the pass show" to hard to swing them both in & I live only 3 hours or so away; that's sad....
Use my wifes co-worker time shares, finally a F100 / F1 etc show that the misses will enjoy as well.
Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg just offer so much more that knoxville any day.

Mitch
