i got really mad at the !@#$ stock air filter last time i changed it cause it was being stupid and decided it was crap, so the 6637 was supposed to be my next mod...but then i blew the diff. never enough money for it all
i think it might be up to $2 now...i called them last week pestering about differentials again. check craigslist too, i'm pretty sure i've seen several (but i didn't really look too closely for obvious reasons)

Axles are like $90. . .sometimes they charge a couple bucks extra for brake drums but I always left those up there. . .and still a buck to get in. . .
There were a few newer model mustangs up there a few weeks ago, I'll probably swing by there this weekend and will check again. . .

MissI,
For your rear, all you need is the gears for your 3/4 ton, that is unless you want to swap the semi floater out for a full floater rear and get the added strength in the process. For the front, a D50 will swap right in, but why go with a crappy TTB, hold out for a D60, just expect to pay a pretty penny for it!

no clue if it's in good shape or how much you can tell from a picture...looks like it needs a little cleaning up to my uneducated eye. says it was 250 rear, but i think that *might* actually fit my front end with the current rear axle...

MissI,
Thats a rear rear, and your sterling is stronger that that late 70's d60. For a front D60 you need it with leaf springs and the diff will be offset to the drivers side. Sort of looks like this:
BTW, this is a mid 80's D60 that me and a friend put into a 79 Bronco for another friend. We converted it to the coil spring radius arm setup of the 1/2 tons. For your 3/4 ton and to keep the truck so you can haul your horse trailer, stick with a leaf spring setup.

It's an early 80's Light Duty F250. Lift kit look's like an El Cheapo, inline 6 with a 3 speed auto, BW 1345 transfer case. . .semi float rear axle.
Even if the gears were 4.10 I wouldn't use them in anything. . .
Rear axles won't work on the front if you want to be able to steer And the gears themselves are low pinion, which wouldn't work up front if you were thinking of swapping out. Not to mention that axle has no provision for your VSS (96 should be in the axle, yes?) so you lose your speedo
If you really want to do some modding, there's a set of 5 ton military axles in the Trading Post for only $1500

Now for the 5 ton Rockwells, I'd stick with a built up D60F/Sterling 10.50 rear and just beef them up, thanks anyways.....

I was talking about the Dana 60 rear not having VSS and that her's should. . .probably not too clear
But it's all groovy man!
And speaking of Rockwells, if you are ever looking for a military 6x6 to tow the ranger around in, a fair share of them come through the trading post and craigslist in the warmer months. There were 8-10 of them last year, $3000-$4000
