Boss 588
Just got back from the BBF winter tech seminar in Evansville IN and brought back a pick of Jon Kaase's boss 588 mustang. Sorry they are a little dark, I couldn't get good pics for some reason in there. That thing looks awesome and sounds great even with as Jon put it the "small" cam he put in it last week (solid roller with .700 lift and ONLY 231 duration at .050 LOL) was almost 900hp with the slightly bigger cam and this one isn't much less so still surely over 800hp pump gas motor
Just thought you all would like to see it. all I can do to not break out he credit card everytime I see those heads (actually got to finger print one set he had there). Made that comment to Jon and his response was "I don't want to know how many divorces I am responsible for"

Jon said it's not even drivable though. He is still running the stock 8.8 with 3.31 gears and even in 6th it will break em loose. any gear and step on it and you just start to feel it pull and the tires break loose. Tires are seriously the limiting factor on it.
But oh the drool factor
He also said he wants to find someone to buy it.

LOL! Maybe I'll just have to drop it down a few notches and put in a Mopar Hemi. (Not.....)

Original block?????
That is an aluminum aftermarket 385 series block with a set of Jon's newly introduced Boss 429 heads that he just started putting out. computor system was eliminated although they are still having some issues to work out (no speedo, or tach right now)
here is a pic of the new heads

I don't have the actual sheet handy but IIRC it was just under 800ft/lbs (789 sticks in my head for some reason)
I know with the big cam that made 978hp it was 790ft/lbs, and with the "street" cam he put in (older cam as you put it) he said it was still made real close but dropped the hp down to 885hp
