Snow anyone?

Got about 4-6" of snow overnight. I'm kinda glad I went and put snow tires on the Courier, it actually seems decent in the snow.

Looks like we're catching part of that storm through here now. Went for a drive down through Hansen, Shoshone Falls, TF, and back to Jerome. Not bad except for when I was dragging the underside of my Courier in the drifts. Did ok though, better than I expected a tiny truck to handle the snow.

Today while driving out by Minidoka found some 3' snow drifts covering the hwy. I they got about 8-10" out there, and when I left the wind was still blowing it around.

Yup, didn't want rain with my snow anymore, or something like that. Luckily no more trucks wrecked too bad in this one. Last time around we had a truck fall over off the highway, two days after I put a new radiator in it. That same week another truck got backed into, did quite a number on the nose of it.

I was supposed to be at work two hours ago. Instead, I'm sitting here waiting for the plow to come down my road so I can get out. Why is it that they plow my road five times when it isn't even snowing, yet when it does snow I'm waiting hours to see them?
Maybe I should start invoicing the county every time I have to miss work due to their ineptitude.

We had quite a bit of snow. Not a lot compared to some places but a lot for Mtn Home. Been here almost 12 years and never seen a 2 week period like it. 4wd definitely came in handy except for all the morons on the road. I saw 7 vehicles slid off the first morning and 5 the next. After that it seemed like folks learned their lesson and slowed down a bit. Since then we haven't seen much except a little sprinkles this morning.

Woke up this morning to find a light dusting on the ground, it probably won't last for very long though.

have a lot of relatives that live in Hansen,Kimberly and Twinfalls area guess I'll have to go visiting and do some sledding in the magic mtns. Or is it pretty weak there too? Our snow levels in the Cascades sucks for this time of year. Havn't had any since the big melt in dec.getting a little rain so maybe snow in the mtns. probably headed your way thou. Love watching those city fools slide in the snow.
