Is Sync and a 2008 Expedition EL Limited a dead issue?

Has there been a definitive answer as to whether Ford will ever offer Sync as a retrofit to the 2008 Expedition? I believe they did it for the 2008 Navigator.

I have heard that it will be avail in 2010 on the EXP's

I have a 2008 Mustang w/ Nav and I have researched a little and have been told from dealers that it is a dead issue through the dealer. Doesn't mean it is impossible, just dead through the dealer.
