Yeah that seat cracks me up, it looks like a pair of my Pap's pants from back in the day. The truck had been setting in a barn for a number of years in Millbury Ohio. So it's a case of having to go over and replace lots of bolt on stuff like starter, fuel pump etc.

I got the dash partially apart when other things come up that need my immediate attention. I am going to put a period correct am/fm in the dash and take out the original am.

The next order of business will be to drop the fuel tank. The person I bought if from got it from the guys estate. Matter of fact, yesterday made the one year anniversarry of his death.

Anyhow, they put fresh gas in on top of the old gas that maybe in the area of twenty years old in there. If you sniff the gas hole it smells like really bad OLD gas. I put a fresh five gallons in which gave it an additional quarter of a tank. Well after that it clogged the fuel filter and I could not get it to run.

I replaced the filter, and it fired right off. Went through and read all of the threads on here about this procedure, and I am sure it is in my realm.

My goal is to get it on the road by spring, and yes those are bias ply tires on it except for the right rear, which is a pretty decent radial. I bough three others to match and they will go on soon.

PS: A little help here would be appriciated, VIN: F15BLY16342, On the drivers door WB= 133 Color= Z TYPE= F150 Body MU4 Trans= G Axle 13J. Any help would be great, and thanks in advance!

Great Looking Explorer Special you Got There.

From just looking at It, looks like Explorer Package "C" , because package "B" wouldn't have carpet, and package "D" would have had air conditioning etc...

Great Looking Truck.

Look up the Member "Numberdummy". He can decode the Color for you.

It looks to be the same color as my 1981 Explorer, which went by two names in 1981, "Medium Caramel metalic, and Dark Caramel Metalic".

Even though your truck and mine might be the same color, (which it does appear to be), Ford quite often changed the color code, and name of the same color between the years.

Makes things confusing.
