Question Tips on Engine removal F600 or N600-1964

I am trying to pull the engine from the transmission and it seems that I can not go any further than approx. 1". I guess it is binding somewhere on the transmission shaft.

Any tips?

I have tried to pull it apart with a pry bar on top, but not on bottom?
Do I need to hold up the transmission's bell housing even though the transmission has side mounts?
Should I use an engine leveler?
Or???

Let me know and thank you for all and any info!

You should ask questions in the LARGE TRUCK forum for 500 and larger series trucks.

Most members of this forum have F100/350 pickups. F100/350's use different V8 engines than 500 and larger series trucks.

I just took the engine out of a 64 f600, i had to lift my cab up a couple inches and put some wood blocks in between the cab and frame, was able to get all of the fasteners and everything. Best of luck, cab is really pretty easy to move, as long as its not got everything in it still.
