Bigger Tire On A stock rim

I believe my stock rims are 17 x 7.5

Could I safely squeeze a 305-65-17 tire on these rims? Its a 32" tire which shouldn't rub anywhere, but I'm concerned with the width of the wheel.

Can anyone confirm the stock 17" wheel on F150's from 2004. The wheels looks like this.

Here are the specs of the tire I'm looking at

the rim are 7.5 and yes the 305 will fit but their is a chance that you might not get the best tire wear by puting it on a smaller rim ...that way tire makes give you guide lines

i have 305-70-18 which is just a bit taller but just as wide as a 305 is a 12.5 wide tire

My 305/60 18 are called 33x12.5, written right on the side of the tire.

it depends on the tire manufacturer. but most 305's are a 12" wide tire. I think your tires are 12.5" wide because of the side lugs since they are M/T's.

here is my favorite wheel calculator

They "howl" down the road, but I like it. They ride rougher, but it is a truck. The s/c'r still turn them easily, I just don't do it as much since $279 is a bit steep (then again, what isn't expensive anymore). Would I do it again, hell yeah. I used the little bb's to balance the tire (T+ is the symbol, total plus or something like that), I will never have to balance them again, at $10/tire, that isn't bad.

285/70/17's work well for me. No clearance issues, Not too wide for the rim, no wear issues,. They're almost 33's. 32.6 as listed by my manufacturer, firestone. and still 11.5 wide

Who makes a 285-70-17? I had trouble finding tires in that size.

I have 285/75-17's on my stock rims.

I know its not a big tire, but I have lots and lots of clearance with it.
