Another old guy that grew up in Ford country

Just joined because I am a long time Ford owner/driver. My oldest at this time is a 36 Ford coupe and my newest is an 09 Superduty 4x4 crew cab, with a couple 58-60 Ford pickups, 49 Ford 2dr I am customizing, and a 4x4 Ranger I use to feed my cows and check on the farm. Been retired from the Waco Texas fire dept 12 years, and have been building and repairing cars as a hobby for many years.

This is my 36 Ford that my wife and I built. Has 350 Chev., auto, air, and has been to the Street Rod Nationals in Kentucky several times as many other rod runs. We did all the work except for chrome and upholstery. Pin striping added by my son who builds Hot Rods for a living at BassKustoms.com.

My wife wanted a custom, a big car so we built her a 55 Buick Super with a 455, auto, air, pb, ps, pw and a custom interior by Devers upholstery in Waco, Tx. It's a road hog and we enjoy taking trips in it.

Here's my work in progress, a 4" chopped top 49 Ford with a fresh flathead. Has Fenton headers and mild cam. Will be maroon with white interior when I finish it. Kinda old skool style.

Thanks......I have been blessed with a wife who also likes cars and has helped build many of them. A 56 Buick would be a cool car to have today.

Newbie

Name is Jim and I live in West Fork, Ar. Just recently purchased a 2009 F-250 6.4 diesel.
In the past I have been a Chev man and have owned several Duramax. I decided to jump ship when Gm bellied up and screwed a bunch of stockholder.
Really enjoy the truck so far and it pulls my 5th wheel (8800 lb dry) very easily. Looking forward to living on the dark side.

Another new member here from Oregon. I have been lurking since June when I bought a 2005 F250 w/V-10 for towing my 36ft travel trailer. I have gotten tons of information from this site and want to thank everyone. Hopefully I can contribute something down the road.

J.Ray, there are many forums that are specific to year/model. Find the one that applies to your truck and then click the "start new thread" button at the top left of the forum you enter.

New to the site

I have recently joined the site. I have just purchased a 61 F-100 Unibody truck and need some help finding some replacement shet metal parts. My plan for the truck is to street rod it. It has a 302 2V w/C4 auto. Rust thru at the back of the cab where it meets the bed floor. Anyone know where I can find patch panels for the cab and floor where they meet?

Thanks

Took me awhile before discovering this site, but better late than never.
I have a 2003 F-150 XLT supercab 4X4 with 4.6L V-8 and now has 110000 miles. And yes, it is blue, true blue to be exact (as stated on the window sticker which I still have). This was the first vehicle I ever bought brand spanking new off of a dealer lot (Tri-City Ford, Eden, NC).
Getting ready to put a set of Cooper Discoverer AT3 tires on her before any nasty winter weather hits.

Truculent, What year are your 450s? I may have found the shop manuals and wiring diagrams for them if you don't already have them. See the Ford manuals thread in this forum...
