'00 Super Duty Common Rail Cummins Conversion
Somehow I never noticed this conversion section here on FTE, but thought I'd post this up here. I recently completed a Cummins swap in my 2000 F-350 Super Duty. I put in a new '04 common rail 5.9.
If you're interested in reading about it, here is a link to my thread documenting the progress: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/7...on-update.html
It's a long thread, but I tried to document nearly every step of the conversion, complete with pics.
Enjoy! If you all have any questions, I'll do my best to answer them.

I do have one question for you...

An '06 should be very similar to an '02, aside from the trans being a problem. Don't believe anyone has figured out a good stand alone controller for the 5R yet. If I were doing a swap on an '06, I would be putting a 4R in it. Don't believe anyone has converted an '08 yet. I'd imagine there would be quite a few new things to figure out on that one.
