'00 Super Duty Common Rail Cummins Conversion

Somehow I never noticed this conversion section here on FTE, but thought I'd post this up here. I recently completed a Cummins swap in my 2000 F-350 Super Duty. I put in a new '04 common rail 5.9.

If you're interested in reading about it, here is a link to my thread documenting the progress: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/7...on-update.html
It's a long thread, but I tried to document nearly every step of the conversion, complete with pics.

Enjoy! If you all have any questions, I'll do my best to answer them.

Wholy cow that is a long thread. Nice build!

I do have one question for you...

Those are the motor mounts destroked sells? How much do they charge you for those things?

Thanks. Yes, those are the Destroked mounts, not the Autoworld mounts. Honestly, I don't know what they charge for just the mounts. I bought all of the Destroked parts I need at one time and paid for it all at once.

hey im wanting to do a cummins conversion soon and read all the conversions up to 02' F-250's. Anyone heard of like the new 08's? or the 06's? being swapped out or are the electronics not yet compatible?

An '06 should be very similar to an '02, aside from the trans being a problem. Don't believe anyone has figured out a good stand alone controller for the 5R yet. If I were doing a swap on an '06, I would be putting a 4R in it. Don't believe anyone has converted an '08 yet. I'd imagine there would be quite a few new things to figure out on that one.
