E40D won't go!

I have a 1990 F-150 with about 190,000 miles. The transmission was replaced by Ford Dealership under warranty at about 90,000. This morning I started the truck and put it into drive and it wouldn't move in any gear. Ran and shifted fine when I parked it Friday night. Does it need to be rebuilt and if so how much am I looking? What about a new/rebuilt transmission? I can probably swap the transmission myself, how much would I be saving over having transmission shop rebuild?

Check the obvious stuff first.
Fluid level, linkages.
Then if that's ok you'd be better off calling around for estimates in your area.

I think I am going to put a rebuilt transmission in the truck. Any recommendations where to get one? I want something that will last!!
