99 Expedition a/c cold in front but blowing hot in rear
I have a 1999 expedition eddie bauer edition w/rear a/c I charged the system so far I have cold air in the front part but no cold lines or cold air in back unit I called a buddy who has a shop and asked him what he thought my problem was,he said the expansion valve in the front was not allowing coolant to be diverted to the lines to the rear also said the orifice tube was plugged up.
Heres my dilemma before I spend about $200.00 on these parts along with the accumulator another $85.00 does anyone think this sounds right I am doing the labor myself any help will be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

His diagnosis makes sense since the rear lines are not cold. If they were cold I would say it's a blend door issue.
BTW - It might not be a bad idea to keep it this way for when the wife goes through menopause. As those hot flashes come and go, she can move to the front or rear of the vehicle accordingly.

Cheaper yes, but the big problem with ordering from RockAuto is the shipping time. UPS is what's offered and it is the slowest shipper around. From the time something is ordered from RA it's 2 weeks before it gets here. No one want to have their vehicle down for 2 weeks waiting for a part to arrive. Especially when other sites offer USPS Priority Mail and can get the part to me in 4 or 5 days from all the way from across the country.

Hello Alloro,
I'm sorry if you've experience slow shipping from RockAuto. The only reason I think that may be the case is that your ordering non stock parts and hence there's a stocking delay or you have us confused with someone else.
We do indeed ship Fed Ex unless we're shipping internationally. Many of our customers are extremely satisfied with our customer service, prices, and fast shipping. Please take a look at our reselleratings (an independent third-party testimonial site) RockAuto.com Reviews, Ratings and Prices at ResellerRatings ; I believe Alloro's experience with RockAuto is by far the minority.
Thank you,
Ashley
