Hood to cowl seal

Can anybody tell me if the lip on the hood to cowl seal on a 67 F100 goes up or down? I have several bumpsides, but none of them has a lip left on the seal. I think the lip goes up, but I just wanted to make sure. Thanks

Ya, pretty sure it's UP. That way the water gets worked off to the sides. Been too long since I paid any attention to mine(put new one on many years ago).

I just looked at mine. The pieces that remain have the lip facing up.
Since mine needs replacing too, I'll ask another question.
A few of the clips that hold the seal in place are visible on mine.
Do these clips stay on the cowl while attaching the new seal,
or do they have to be removed to attach them to the new seal.
My clips don't want to come off of the cowl, do they need too?

Murph.

Edit: Oops, wrong forum, hope this info is the same.

Clips are actually attached to the seal by two prongs that run through the seal and are then bent over. The portion of the clip that is pushed into the actual cowl metal slots is a sort of spring loaded thing. Most are quite rusty and the spring no longer works. A pair of larger pliers will remove the old clips from the cowl holes leaving the slot for the installation of a new seal which comes with new clips already attached and ready to install in the cowl's clip holes. . Oh Yes, LIP UP and pointing out to the Radiator.

Seems way back when I got my new seal, it didn't have new clips on it. I had to leave my old clips on the cowl, and just rebend the tabs once I pressed the new seal onto them.

I'm going to get a seal on order soon.
I was wondering if anyone has a preference.
I noticed DC and LMC have similar prices, is one better than the other?

I got mine from LMC. It included the clips, but one on each side was in the wrong place. Just had to bend the tabs back to remove them and punch a couple of holes. Shold work out fine.
