put 4.10s in

i finally threw some 4.10s in. lim slip too but my mileage isn't what i had in mind. i took a trip up north this weekend and roughly calculated 14 mpg at best. it was mostly highway. no excessive speeds. and i used my buddys trip mileage we reset at same time and mine was thirty somethin less than has lol. his truck is stock and speedo is corect. i have 36s those ole military tires. i know others such as coon has claimed to get 19 w 4,10s and 35s since its like stock 3.55s. i did have some stuff on top and tents n coolers n stuff in back though. could that have dropped fuel milage that much. i finaly got that recall done too.

A buddy of mine has a jeep and he usually keeps his roof rack off becuase he said that he gets 20-30 miles more per tank with it off. Also if you did any offroading that will lower it a bit too. Did you calculate millage with yours or your buddys trip reading? Your truck looks really good.

sry it takes me so long, my laptop died, so i dont get to a computer often. the roof rack haha, i just made it the day before we went campin, grabbed a few trees and some wood round the house. didnt cost anythin. so it doesnt stay on, yeah i used my friends trip reading if i used mine it would be way off. no more than a miles worth of messin around in the sand and dirt and maybe 15 20 miles of dirt roads. and thanks

i typicly see 17-18 highway at speeds of around 65-70. anything over 70 it drops quick. if i stay at 55-60 i can get 18-19. if i stay right at 55 i can almost get 20. the key is 1500-1700 rpm. and anything over 2000 the fuel gauge starts to drop. also those military goodyear 36's are bias ply, and very, very heavy. the bias always get lower economy.

i pretty much just have the basic hillbilly mods. cheap chip, icp and eot mods, homemade exhaust, homemade intake, homemade intercooler kit. i think that covers it all. and of course i ride on a 6 inch skyjacker, stock wheels, 315/75/16's, and 4.10's.

staying under 70 is the biggest factor for me. it doesnt take long cruising at 80 mph to drop the mileage drasticly.
