Bucket Seat Brackets repro'd yet?

Is anyone reproducing the special bucket seat to floor brackets? My 79 wants some, and I have Mustang buckets hanging around.

I haven't seen any in any of the major aftermarket suppliers. Probably be one of those Holy Grail pieces for a long time. So few of these truck came with buckets (anybody have an actual #?) that I doubt it would be worth the tooling. Especially just for the 'Stang buckets.

I know I know... I saw the article on that website too. Can't blame me for wanting an easy way out! The guy there who wrote that and bolted the inside tracks to the floor is 6'3". I'm 6'1"... the girlfriend is 4'11". I guess I'll need to get her to sit in the truck with the seats.

There may be an easy way out.

How about using 1978/79 Bronco bucket seats brackets? The floor mount brackets are one piece, maybe you could make them work with the Mustang seats..

The Bronco's floor in this area is the same as 1973/79 F100/350.

PM Ringofonebone give him a week as he is on the road to Kansas City.

He has a source that reproduces the ranger brackets, A member of the slick 60s.

Dave, the 1965/66 brackets are different than the 1967/72 brackets and different again than the 1973/79 brackets.

I know what you're gonna say, the floors are all the same.

So...if that's true...why are there 3 different types of brackets and corresponding part numbers?

The 1965/72's all used the 65/68 Mustang seats and seat tracks.

Possible differing seat bottoms? or density of foams and base seat height?

Every time i had the chance to purchase a slick or bump ranger i had the old Itialian malady called "lackafundis"

There a simple bracket and i should scroung up a set of each and duplicate them. Burn them on ICs plasma and repop the correct years..

Garbz

Addendum 1 the brackets i mention are for a 65 66 slick... May fit other later years.....

Times change in 3 years. I still have the truck, and still haven't changed seats. When I do, it'll be a 40/20/40 setup. I realized buckets might not be conducive to having a child someday.

Just put a sleeping bag or blanked in the bed and go to town. Ya might want to park somewhere discreet though.. they can arrest you and your gal for doing it in public.
