any of you guys know anything about leaning out a fuel injected motor with a mild build. it's a 93 F150 with a mild built FI 302. come on guys I'm a diesel man I don't do this kind of stuff
Make sure all of your vacuum lines are hooked up on top of the upper manifold and the PCV valve under the right side of the upper manifold.

Randy hooked up the PVC before he ran in the cam didn't he.
I know when we worked on Dave's van here we left off one of the large vacuum hoses on the vacuum tree on top of the upper intake. That thing ran like a dog and filled the shop up with thick black smoke in less time than it took me to type this. I think if it has too large a vacuum leak the fuel pressure regulator feeds too much gas to the injectors causing flooding. I don't know this for sure but it kind of makes since

We didn't hook them up but it ran fine.No smoking or anything. That is on a do list.
yeah I just bought it for a hunting truck. I gave 1800.00 for it and the wheels and tires are worth more than that let alone the less than 500 mile engine and tranny rebuild.
