Good find Pitchfork87, I think that it will reinforce what many of us have thought about "Stealerships" in the past.

This is one of the reasons that FTE is so popular as it produces reliable information from knowledgeable PSD owners and assists other PSD owners while he/she does the repairs themselves or at least arms them with the proper information to request the specific repairs be done by a shop/dealer of their choice thusly saving them hundreds or thousands of dollars in repair "Witch Hunts".

I initially thought this guy was pretty solid. And while he may be "pretty" solid on stock info I have found some obvious blunders. I will talk more about those later. No time now gotta get to bed. Most of it is performance related but also watch his top end oil change video. I laughed!

X2.
Also somewhere around the change to the 17* pump, there is a screen in the hpop res
gasket. You cannot pull much oil out of the res with the screen.
But he does have some good info on stuff.

I was going to ask you guys about the HPOP oil change. Sounded kind of over kill to me but what do you think? If you wind up in a situation where you have a truck that has not had a oil change in a long time it might be a good idea. And I think he said he will do this on trucks that come in that are long over due for a change?

Well I've only watched a few of them but he starts out by saying that he's been working on Powerstrokes for 15 years. They've only been out for 14 and then he talks about $3.00 a gallon diesel so I wonder how long ago to made the claim of 15 years experience.

I like the part about the 15 quarts of bottom oil and 3 qts of top oil. And theoretically the top and bottom oil are supposed to mix but it actually doesn't.. Then he goes on to explain why he needs to remove 1 quart of oil from the hpop reservoir 3 times to get the old oil out of the injection system, yet on the 3rd cycle he only removes 1/2 a qt because the prolong comes in a 8 oz. bottle and that will make up the difference. Didn't anyone ever tell him there are 32 oz per quart.

And be carefull you dont forget to replace the hpop reservoir plug because the hpop pressurizes the oil to 3000 psi. Well yea but the reservoir only is at lube oil pressure.
