F-250 King Ranch System upgrade

Here's the start of a symple system upgrade.
It was an IVA C801

Now to be
IVA D900 DVD flip
NVE N851 Navi
PXA H510 5.1 surround EQ
CHA S634 Cd changer

Out with the old.

tight fit but the last installer (me) got the brain up under the dash.

The new stuff.

And some sound deadner.

Thats it for tonight. I'll have this wrapped up tomorrow.

Don't forget the a-pillars while you have it apart. Also, I laid down tac-mat while doing my interior and it helps alot combined with the asphalt matting.

Yup.

The A pillars and roof tracks/ cross members get foam filling and a wrap of seal. The doors get 2 layers, inside skin and outside skin.

No, I've tested a few types on sound material and there isn't to much benifet to using a ton of layers.

I can drop 3db off the interior of the cab buy using a standard asphalt deadner or audio based one. Doing extra layers didn't dive any more deading to the cab Nor did adding additional mat to the cab help anymore then the deadner.

I have seen a little gain by better sealing the doors and doing a Mylar tint to the windows.

Now to finish it out.

All in and backup camera workin.

Mounted the navi under the seat.

CD changer in the rear center console.

And a plug to connect PS2 for long trips.

And out with the old. The RV had a sony Xplode so it had to go.

And in with the new.

Now both of these will have added items on them soon. Time to pick up a few things and add even more to each I like it when the customer wants more
