I searched and found a good post from pawpaw recommending these two scanners:

Actron CP-9145 & CP-9150

His post was back in 2004, so I'm wondering if anyone can update or add to his recommendation. The only other vehicle I have right now is an '89 Chysler Fifth Avenue. If there's a scantool to cover both, that would be great, but if not, just for my '94 F250 will do.

Just bought this truck. No problems yet, but want to be prepared. Planning on buying a factory manual from Helm (or elsewhere - where can I get one the cheapest?) if that's a good idea? I'm assuming that factory manuals are the best (as opposed to Chilton's, Haynes, Mitchell, and AllData's online service). Am I wrong?
