Okay, the pup got hold of my keys and chewed the key fob to the point where it won't open the doors. Does anyone know where I can get a new one other thatn the dealer? Its for an 07 FX4, and the owners manual has instructions for re-programming.

far as i know the dealer is gunna be ur only option.... it'll be fairly pricy tho

 

+1 eBay. Search the code on the back of your remote (CWyadayada) and you'll get all kind of hits for used ones and probably a few new ones for less than $20. The outfit that advertises "free programming" is the one I used for a chebby remote, and it was perfect.

 

I agree ebay would be your best bet.

 

ive never tried it or heard anybody that has but autozone has signs in the store that say they sell them.

 

bought several of them off eBay. there is a guy who sells junkyard remotes. guarantees they will not be DOA and he has them listed by what vehicle they fit. batteries are only a few bucks in any case. the last fob I bought was about $12 +$5 shipping

also, the edge key/fob unit will work for our trucks. you program the key, and then the fob gets programmed...now that key is kinda pricey

 

Bought one at the dealer since my truck only came with one & it was 75$ with the remote start button.

 

sorry about that but try this. when you want to open your doors, kick the dog in the butt.
