Boost!

I have the stage 1 - 160cc injectors on my stock turbo with fpr shimmed a pro guard seven afe filter with a super duty intake that i rigged up. I took a dremmel tool to the ccv housing and rounded it out. Rerouted my ccv under my truck to the back so it can breath. I have a OBD plug in Stuperchip programmer on there on High Performance. Stock dp (i knw biggest downfall right now) stock straight pipe exhaust and i think that about sums it up. HONESTLY: I build 30 pounds of boost dead even when i got er wound up. IS THIS NORMAL?

Mallard, I've got exactly the same problem. Been lookin' for a 17* HPOP, but think I'll have to find cash first. Those are the same numbers I'm gettting too.

Just for kickers i have a stock dp, what does your truck run as far as EGT's on the road at like 70 or so or any other numbers you can give me as far as speed and EGT's go? I think i cruise around 775 at 70 i think?

That seems about right. and with about 4 pounds boost. Mind you, since I put the 36" ers out back, my revs and boost at cruising speed have been lower. EGT about the same though.

Gotcha ok sounds good. I am going to switch turbo's before too long to the hypermax setup. I already got the turbo just waitin on the piping for it.

well its good to 40lbs and i never take mine over 30 if i can help it. i did notice a power upgrade when i swapped it on which is nice but my biggest differenece i noticed was EGT's. i noticed a nice 100* or so drop in temps b/c the D66 flows that much more air.

i would recommend it to those even with stock trucks. aside from being slightly pricey, the piece of mind was well worth it!

MallardSlayer07, i have the exact same set up as you except i don't have a ccv mod and i'm using an edge evolution, not a superchip.. i can't get mine to wind up to 30 psi of boost!!!!! mine will get up to 28 psi at around 27-2800 rpm's and stay there even if i take it up to 3200 rpm's. i just don't get why i can't get it to pull 30 psi.
