That yellow custom 92 F150 is back...
Hay guys and gals,
I STILL have the truck, and i have barely driven it. its collecting dust, and i'm still up in arms on what to do with this truck.
Now that its been 2 years, does any one have any other ideas where i should post this baby up for sale? and how much do you think is a fair price?
realistically we are thinking anywhere from 5-10k would be fair, but i would like to ask other ford enthusiasts before i post it and get robbed.
just a recap...
Highly customized F150 2 wheel drive with total parts and labor in excess of $100,000. Just 670 miles since creation. The work was performed in the late 1990s and was state-of-the-art for the time. I'd say more like 8-10k at least, if you get the right buyer. Honestly the outside isn't all that remarkable (but could be with a few changes), but the interior and engine are great. You could take it to local car shows with a detailed "For Sale" sign on it.
I bet you have a lot of trouble hooking up that 450 horsepower!

I understand your point, im asking other people who are into customized autos, and into ford truck on what would be a fair price. i know i will NEVER see the amount of money that was put into the project, but i would like to get something out of it you know?
The internet is a animal all on its own, and i like to see what others would be willing to pay for this before i set a price.
Thanks.

My 2 cents
Sweet truck. How much is somebody willing to pay? Tuff call. I would high ball it at first. Put it up for 15k see if you get any bites. Heck go to 20k. If no takers ratchet it down until you get offers. Last thing I would want to walk away with is putting it up for 5k and have it sold in 10 minutes. (too low a price)...

Fabulous truck Drew.
The problem is other than the screaming yellow paint the is nothing to really attact a buyer that can be seen to tell them there's more to it. Its gonna be a real small niche market that wants a semi-custom mid 90s ford. Probably some one who wants to take it to the next level.
That said the car show idea is good probly' yer best bet. Truck mags & sites & their classifieds as well.
I'd say in a straight sale $12k minimum. If no takers put it up for auction with a $10k reserve.
Good Luck.

Thanks for all the feed back and kind words.
12k sounds like a good starting point.
My only issue with putting more money into it is will i even get that back??
wheels, roll pan, hood, drop springs... more money to invest.
would that really increase the value to 15k? idk...
if it would then i might consider doing it, and if it could attract more buyers i might too, but i don't want to sit on more money spent..
hummm...

some people see added value in some mods.
i agree, i never build anything for anyone else but for myself, i mean its my truck right? i'm aiming to please myself. other people take pride in others work so that would increase the value (over all). They understand and respect the amount of work put into a project and are willing to pay the extra.
