I'm new to the ranger seen and was just wondering what the hp output is on a 97 4.0l 4x4 super cab ranger?

Your looking at 160hp and 225ft Lbs. of torque. That motor adapts really well to an open air kit(conical air filter) and freeflowing exhaust. You'll get a noticlable increase in hp and torque!

greg is totally right, check out my picture of my 00' ranger, it might give you some suggestions for easy bolt-ons.. However I dont have an open air kit, but my flowmaster 40 sounds great, and i get approx 20-22 mpg at 65 with my 4.0L 5 spd.

Right on....thanks for your input guys!! Yeah I to have a k&n filter and a flowmaster exhuast although with 33" tires mpg is not that great!
