Moaning noise from front end

I am getting a moaning noise from the front end of my 02 Escape, when reversing then going forward, and sometimes when braking. No squeaks, rattles or noise when driving. Braking is good, no pull or pedal vibration. Truck handles ok. Sounds like chassis noise. Everything looks ok under the front end. Any ideas on bushings, etc. No immediate issues, just annoying.

sounds like a driveshaft bearing

You mean a CV joint? Wouldn't I get a vibration at speed?

you might, depends on how bad it is i guess, aren't there bearings on the front axles

There are, but is sounds more like a suspension creak or moan, then a bearing, as the noise is only prevalent when braking, turing, etc. I was curious if there are any known front end bushing issues. 6 years old, but only 43K.

i just had this exact vehicle in with the exact problem, we tried rotating the tires, we tried a bunch of other stuff to but we never actually found the source of the problem
