The PA Chapter's "Turkey's Revenge" November 2018 Chat and B/S Thread

Roughly an hour to go til November, so I figure I'd toss this up here before heading to bed. 2018 is winding down way too fast and it never seems like we all get enough things done. For me personally, November signifies the start of the "off season" where I do all kinds of things to trucks before I can play with them in the spring again...and that's certainly going to be the case (here's a hint, one is already missing parts, and I'll let you guess which one...). November also signifies the start of the holiday season (sorry, not much of a celebrator here...) with lots of food and fun and family. If I were to say this - here's hopes to keeping it simple and meaningful, rather than getting caught up in "stuff." With the state of this crazy old world, who knows where we'll be in a year.

Anyhow, enough of my rambling. Ya'll know what to do - so do it.

Boy can i echo the feeling of not getting enough done this year, feels like it went by way too fast. It also signifies the start of the off season for me too, as all my vehicle projects have to take a back seat: i can't use my garage cause of the project off roader in there, and even if i could the F150 doesn't fit :P

That being said, i'll have to brave the cold at least once before the snow flies, or else the War Wagon will be parked all winter: ain't no way i'm gonna keep feeding that tranny ATF by the gallon every time i drive it

hi everyone. i feel like i went backwards with the truck this year. And it looks like no one is going to buy it, so i might as well work on it again. But if that's my biggest problem then life is good.

Good morning, Gang! Welcome to November! While I'm not ready for November yet, but I am happy that hunting season is here. At some point, I'm going to have to pony up for better tires for the Super. With as wet as it has been this year, I'm going to get stuck somewhere eventually....

I feel ya, Steve. It won't be easy, but it will be yours.

Morning guys. Been a bit of a fiasco today, with a lot of stuff going on all at once. I'll be back once I get things under control (as if, lol..)

Morning Bill, Ron, Steve, Jason and followers. I too know the feeling that this year flew by. I was able to finish up the mods that I wanted to get done this year to the 150 but was hoping to be able to get a good coat of wax on it before winter, but that does not look like it is going to happen. The truck is going to the body shop on the 12th for hopefully just that week to get the passenger side inner and outer rocker panels replaced. It is not going to be cheap by any means but it needs to be done before I run into more issues. The driver side will be done sometime next year once the bank account recovers

Went through that last year with the War Wagon: took 1300 bucks to get it past inspection between doing the rear cab corners and part of the drivers floor. Worst part is the windshield is leaking from somewhere and i can't find it, so the water is dripping down onto the same spot again. AND i still haven't finished the rear floor patches, so i'm lucky to get it inspected again this year lol

Oh well, you buy an old Ford, you deal with old Ford problems

I bought my '10 in March '16 and figured that I was going to need to put rockers on it some time in the near future based on what my '01 was like. I keep my vehicles for 12-14 years so in order to keep it in good shape for the long haul, money needs to be spent.

Good morning Bill, all PA and visitors.... never have understood that saying "Keep it between the ditches". How 'bout "Keep it in your own lane" ? I'd much rather run it into a ditch than into a semi head on !
