In my understanding, the Boss 302 block was a four bolt main and beefed up rods, etc. If I'm wrong, someone please correct me. Should be easy to id.

The Boss 302 is a 4-bolt main with a forged steel crankshaft and super-strong connecting rods with 3/8" bolts. The Boss 302 had a compression ratio of 10.5 or 11.0:1, a cast aluminum high-rise intake, and a 780 cfm Holley carburetor. The heads were modified versions of the 351 Cleveland with canted valves. It looks like it was only produced in '69 and '70 and turned about 290 HP.

I wish I was here a month ago!!!! The Boss block has screw in freeze plugs. This is the easiest way to ID it if the pan is still on or the heads are off. Believe it or not the 351 C used a version of the Boss heads as the Boss 302 came out before the 351C.
