390 to a 302, motor mount help please
I don't post much but I read the posts when I can.
I have a 53 ford with an after market tubular cross member for a BB390.
the 390 is gone, and I have a good 302. How much different are the motor mounts? I would luv it if this was an easy swap. any advice is helpful. Both the 302 and the 390 taht was in it are mid-seventies engines.
Thanks,
Pete

everyone told me that I couldn't put a 351W onto the 78 Bronco's 351M towers, and guess what is sitting there right now? a 351W on the stock towers, anything can be done just take your time and give it some good thought, and try it, what harm is there in giving it a shot.
I think in a 73-79 with a 360-390 the stock towers sit back further? but I dont know in your case?
