No joke??? I've been wanting to do a water to air setup anyway, and that could be a great further mod on that.
Imagine- intake temps below ambient...
Do you think it would have that much benefit on our engines?
What would you do for the A/C? Re-route from cab, or extra???

So if i cooled My coolant by radiator, then by AC, How many BTU's should i look for???
How hard would it be to make The A/C kick out a variable amount based on EGT's?
Sorry for the , but hopefully this can help you too!

444dieselrod, thanks for that explanation. How much is a Nitrous kit and how expensive is it to run? Do you run it all the time or just when you need it? When you need a refill, where on the road can you get it? I'm looking into a DP tune and when I get back home at the end of May I'll try to find my 1.15 houseing. Its buried in my garage somewhere, I think?! Thanks again to you all, Glenn

NO2 is pretty cheap to buy ($400 or so) but I hear it pretty expensive to run. I think if you ran it constant it wouldn't be very cost effective

I might be wrong. I just pulled that number off the top of my head. Search Zex on ebay and you will see lots of products. Don't know what will and what won't work but thats whats out there.

Tim

Have you ever seen the 6 stroke design that old man crower has been playing with? Google it. Interesting stuff!

Past was 2 stroke diesels, now we use 4 stroke diesels.
Possible future is a 6 stroke.

Zex has a pretty good diesel set-up. I would assume you could get it filled at any welding gas place.

I also forgot to mention its boost activated, 13-15 psi minimum, the Zex system has a digital controler with multi stages for progresivly more NO3.

the propane is more likely to do that than nos, with propane you using a flammable gas which makes timing erratic

nos is just an oxidizer just more air is all it is you put too much nos in it just puts out the fire. i want the boost controlled 2 stage i wont need it when the new motor with compunds go in though

That's OK, I don't mine. Interesting stuff. I assume Rod that you can turn it on (nitrous) and turn it off at will. In other words, use it when you need it. Wife and I travel all over the place, except for welding shops, where else can you get the bottle filled up and how big of bottles do they sell? Glenn
