Just picked up this little gem today. 1988 Chaparral 20 foot bow rider with a 5.7 liter Mercruiser and Alpha 1 outdrive. Probably only 3K pounds empty including the galvanized dual axle trailer. Obviously the truck can handle pulling it, but just wanted to add it to the list.

Nice. Congrats on the purchase. That thing should hit 60 easy, huh? I've got a 5.7 Mercruiser Alpha too, in my Mirage.

I don't know yet. The impellar for the raw water in the out drive needs to be replaced before I put her in the water. It would be nice if it could run that fast and certainly has a lot to do with the prop size and pitch I would imagine. It was a on a river off the Chesapeake on the Virginia side. They kept it in a garage and it was probably set up more for tubing and skiing so it probably pops up on plane quickly, but tops out before 60 I would think. I am hoping it will do 40-45. That will be fine for me on the Chesapeake bay. If it goes faster than that, I will hardly ever see it probably, and will consider it a bonus.
The chop on the bay will help you keep your speeds down out there (I suspect that you already know that). A boat kept indoors will last one long time, one kept outdoors is whole 'nother story. It looks nice, happy boating.
New to me as of last weekend...05 Sandpiper toyhauler 25t..(sorry no pic. Been here 6yrs and still can't figure it out, lol)
Someone helped me with this, so I will pass it forward.
Look at tool bar at top of the window. You will see a icon that is yellow. Kind of looks like a postage stamp with mountains and the sun. Click on that and it will ask where you want to get photo from. Once you select a photo and down load you will have a screen showing percentage downloaded. You can add comments for the photo.
Once you post you will see some data (not a photo).
When you go back to the thread the photo will be there. You can add more than one photo. You just have to repeat the process.
Go ahead and give it a try!
Hahaha...i got it, man!
I had given up so long ago that I think the kids changed the format/layout of d.l. the image..now, I can post with pics of T.P. without explaining everything, lol... Thank you sir
