You already have the ZF6?
How is the input shaft length? Do you need extra depth? If so, an adaptor might could be made. Once you have both engine and trans in hand, you can pattern it or contact these folks and see what they think. (starter issues, clutch, a host of others perhaps?}

If you don't have the trans yet, perhaps another box would work.

dont have it yet but after much research i like this one the best. i like the six speed for is over over drive for street use and i like the low first for off roading. basiically its the best of both worlds or at least as close as can be.
im still trying to find imput shaft specs

Scroll all the way down and look at the NV5600.

Detachable bell and it only weighs 360lbs, or 130 more than the zf..........
Why not 7 gears:

(I was actually looking at the T56 but I bet it would be a gamble due to GVW and you'd have to gear for the high first and two OD's)
Ever consider a wide ratio C6 with a Gear Vendor?

thought about the nv very hard but i want to try and keep it all ford. plus the weight isnt a hugh issue but every pound counts. for the sake of ease thou i might go that route. the only reason i dont like the t56 is its not a 4x4 case and almost way to long. the 7 speeds are gonna prob be too heavy. and i want a manual so the c6 is out but if i was to go auto thats the only one i would put in.

these are the zf6 ratios
L 5.79:1
1st 3.30:1
2nd 2.10:1
3rd 1.31:1
4th 1.00:1
5th 0.72:1
R 5.23:1
so the zf6 doesnt have an double overdrive like a t56 it just has one overdrive so you mine as well use the zf 5 it has the granny 1st and over 5th
also ford used the cummins 5.9 in some of its bigger trucks like f550s and above so they might of used the nv5600 in those
L 5.79:1
1st 3.30:1
2nd 2.10:1
3rd 1.31:1
4th 1.00:1
5th 0.72:1
R 5.23:1
