Post 5.0 Throttle Body Sizes HELP!!!

I have a 87 crown victoria 5.0 going in my F-100. I bought a throttle body gasket kit, it looks too big. It says fits 65/70mm. Obviously I need smaller, anyone know maybe what I have? Its the factory one. Where can I find more info on this? I know I should have bought a HO.

Crown Vic had a 55mm TB...

P.S. Don't sweat the HO, you're gonna upgrade the cam in that motor anyway aren't you.

subliminal message on... upgrade the cam.... upgrade the cam.. subliminal message off.

Yep, the standard 5.0 has a 55mmtb and the HO Mustang and Mark VII engines have a 60MM.

Well I bought the engine, trans, harness, pcm and instrument panel for $150. I drove the car before pulling everything, it ran great! I am not looking for power at the moment, I just want to get everything wired and converted. I plan on using full length headers, fitting a sensor bung just before the collector. I am thinking this will give a good reading even if I blow out a collector gasket. I have the factory cast iron manifolds but they look really restrictive. I have a complete 89 E350 van that I am taking the fuel tank and lines from. It has a 351w with a C6. But the windsor has a thrown a rod.

The Vicky probably had a 3.08 so I would try the 3.00's for now.

Then go to 3.73's later.

Thanks, I'm all set to install everything soon as I get the cab rust repaired. I have cab mounts and floors coming from LMC. Hopefully I can find a good doghouse for it next.
