I recently had the EGR replaced and the computers re-flashed on my 03' F350. A local dealer charged me $834.00. I tried to get the dealer I bought the truck from (180 miles away) to reimburse me for the repair since he had agreed to, but he claims that he could get the repairs done for $391.00 labor and materials. I checked with Ford dealers and NAPA for the cost of the EGR and they were all around $365.00 just for the part.
What have others paid for the work? I am located just outside of Chicago and the dealer who does not want to pay is near Dubuque Iowa.

As a side note....it's still smoking blue intermittantly.

 

you can get a new one on ebay for 50-100 bucks!
