Good morning everyone. Well last night on the highway my heater hose EXPLODED. I managed to get to a PEP boys. What a bunch of retards. I asked the guy if they had the heater hose assembly and he said No. Which I expected. But then I asked if they had anything for a hack fix to get me home so I could get the part from the dealer he said "No man we don't have anything like that." So here I was at an AUTO PARTS STORE in need of PARTS with none to be had. Needless to say I found a HEATER HOSE REPAIR KIT and a Piece of hose. So what little hope I held out for PEP Boys is now gone. I managed to hack it together to get me home and to the dealer. I got the replacement assembly (of course it is a whole assembly not just a piece of hose. Cost was $58.00. I got home. To install it, for more room I had to remove the air cleaner assembly TB to fender. I then had to jam my fingers up against the fire wall to disconnect the upper rear hose (which was the hardest one). Who the hell came up with those STUPID connectors. The lower hose was easy (with the help of a Large Flathead screwdriver and a hammer). The lower rear hose was just clamp that unscrewed. But anyway this hose showed no signs of wear at all it just decided to commit suicide. So I will now go out and get an upper and lower radiator hose and keep them in the back just in case.Now all is well with the world. Remember CHECK THOSE HOSES (not that it helped me)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

I feel your pain - I had to replace my IAC valve yesterday - I'm only 5'11", but I'm built like a fridge, complete with fat, square hands. Here I am, in the rain, sitting on the radiator, trying to squeeze my chubby meathooks back there to undo the two bolts. All the while, I'm thinking, "Who thought of this?". I can't wait until I have to do my spark plugs.
