bilstein bts leveling kit vs. icon vehicle dynamics (DR) leveling kit
i want to install a leveling kit and f350 blocks on a 2005 super duty but i dont know which one is better.
the DR is more expensive and im not sure if it is available for immediate shipment. it also comes with alignment cams.
i am also going to replace all 4 shocks and ive heard good things about the bilstein hd's. what about the DR's?
im also going to get an adjustable trackbar or is the bracket better? also installing a monroe steering stabilizer at the same time.
so this is my dilemma.
DR springs (leveling kit) with DR shocks all around?
BTS leveling kit with bilstein hd's? then still need alignment cams not a big deal.
DR springs (leveling kit) with bilstein hd's?
thanks for your help.
p.s. want to run toyo open country mt/s 35X12.50 - can this be done on 2005 stock harley rims or do i need less backspacing (stick out more) so they dont rub. i want them to fit and not look oversized like a jeep with tires sticking way out. not knocking on jeeps anyone, love them off road just not on road like that.

If you want to run 35s, I would recommend the Icon 2.5" with their shocks (IMO better than Bilsteins since they are clear coated and use nitrosteel shafts).
The Bilstein is a nice setup (I would recommend buying cams with it as well) but it sits a little lower than the Icon/DR.
The adj. trac bar is better than the bracket.....if you change the bracket, you also need a matching pitman arm to prevent bumpsteer.
Hope this helps.

Edelbrock makes the dr/icon shocks.
DR used to use Bilstein back until 04? I believe. Too many issues with the bodies getting tore up in salty conditions back then. I've heard Bilstein clear coats them now...I don't know if that is true or not.
The Icon shocks are clear coated and do hold up very well in road salt conditions (also the use nitro steel shafts which are harder than chrome and last longer under salt spray tests......bilstein uses chrome).
Wheels....factory wheels always hold up well in my experience.
