Never realized how loud the blower was. How are you supposed to sneak up on somebody?

Well he isnt exactly running stock boost either, if you look at his other videos, he has one from inside the Vic, and it hit over 10 or 15lbs of boost on his gauge.
With it running higher boost than normal and the blower sticking out of the hood, its quite a bit louder than a normal lightning.

How much boost does a normal lightning run?

I'd love to stick one of those in my Ranger, but somehow I don't see it fitting in the engine compartment

It might, a guy put a 4.6 in his ranger, I don't believe there's much difference in the actual size between a 4.6 and the 5.4, so it fits. You may have to leave the hood off to clear the SC or install a functional hood scoop.

1" taller deck and a couple inches wider.....the 5.4 takes up quite a bit more room.

Either way it would make for a quick mini truck.

Thanks DOHCmarauder, I was wondering what the exact difference in deminsions were between the 4.6 and 5.4. 2 inches may not sould like a lot, but it can make all the difference in the world when squeezing a motor into an engine bay.
