Problems with SCT ?
I Have the SCT X-Cal2 9400 Programmer, I t had 3 programs on it when I bought it new, I bought a custom tune through Bub Jusnes from Bama Chips, downloaded it to the programmer, then tried to install on my truck, it came up with and error message of "Invalid Stock" Bob tried to help but ended up just refunding my money. I got ahold of SCT, they had me ship it back to them, I got it back and reinstalled the program per their instructions, it came up with the same error message, sent it back again, got it back Friday, redownloaded the program and tried to install on the truck, same error message again, now SCT tells me that it may have corrupted my Ford Stock factory program and I will have to have the truck reflashed by the dealer ! Dealer tells me it is $89.00 to reflash and not covered by any warranty now ! So I have an expensive programmer that is useless and apparently dangerous to use, now what ?

What's your ECM code? I have BRV2 and could email it, but I am surprised that SCT doesn't have stock files on hand.
Going to the dealership is your best best, try looking for TSBs and recalls. Ford does update their calibrations from time to time, they maybe more inclined to help if they have an update available. Another idea if your truck is running, is purging the stock tune from the box and using the tune in the truck as your stock for the box.
More than likely what has happened is the stock file has a finger print from a tuner and it's over the correct size. I have heard of this happening before, I think bully dog was the main culprit, but there were probably others that used finger prints to lock out other tuners.
