Thermostat water neck

Thermostat water neck
I see that dieselsite makes billet thermostat necks for the SD guys, is there anyone that makes the long OBS neck thats better than OEM?
When I bought my truck, I had a leak between the neck and the waterpump. I thought it was an old oring, when I took it apart there was some silicon so I thought the PO reused the oring thus the leak. Now with a new oring but same waterpump and neck its beginning to leak again.
I think I'm gonna take it apart and use silicon with the oring before I get new neck and oring and silicon it in.

From what I undertsand, the OEM necks, if they have been on the truck for an extended time (Many years) they will leak. When I replaced my stat I just ordered a new neck and had no problems. I don't recall what they cost but it wasn't much. I got it from: www.dieselsite.com
