460 heads identification
hey Tim, well for starters you definitly have a set of 1972 460 police intercepter heads. they are actually called "the small cj's" they have a port size between the cobra jets and the standard passenger car heads. they come with screw in studs and guide plates and valve spring seats. i had another book with some more info but at the present time i can't find it. will try later. but you definitly have a set of very good heads. if you ever decide to sell them don't give them away you can get upwards of $800.00 for these heads they are a rare find these days. well i know you'll get more info as the days go on so good luck. Ray is right, these heads are rare and exspensive to buy. These heads have between 87.4-90.4cc combustion chambers but Ford nominally uses the 89cc combustion chamber as this head's identification. These heads gain about 1/2 a compression point over a D3VE-A2A head.
