8" rear

Hi I just wondering how much torque and hp an 8" rear can handle?
when do I have to go fore a 9"

8" rear

Your 8" rear is plenty strong. I have a '77 Comet with 466 inches runs 12.00 1/4 mile with stock 8" with mini spool and 4.62 gears. I twisted off one axel in 3 years and yes i run slicks. Don't worry about it.
