86 f150 8.8 rear disc conversion

Is there a "doner" vehicle out there i can look for to scavenge a rear disc set up from or would any 8.8 work or is there specialty items i would need to make 8it work?

When I had considered the job I was thinking about using a late 90's Explorer for the donor parts. The rotors would have to be drilled for the truck bolt pattern, but the rest of the hardware should bolt up. The one disclaimer I'll put on this was I did not measure to make sure that setup would fit within the stock 15's, so a wheel upgrade may be needed as well.

Actually a RI boy transplanted to VA compliments of the Coast Guard. I've ridden the bike through your neighborhood on many occasions....beautiful country.

If using the explorer brakes you will also have to grind down the edges of the axle flange as well as redrilling the rotors. They will fit in a 15" wheel
