Thanks to all

My 97 got totoled on the 11 of january, last week worked it out with the insurance they gave me 13,626 buck for it, I felt that was pretty fare.

I want to thank everyone on this forum for all the help with this truck.
Special thanks to Tjbegg, RuberDuck you Guys know more about these trucks than enyone including ford mechanics. For any one new to this forum listen to these guys They have never steered me wrong.

I have put money on an 03 stroker to replace my 97, Yes it's a 6.0 sow don't beat me up to bad. I have had an oasis report done on it and it seems to be a really tite rig, it's a really good fit for me and my family.

I plan on checking in here all the time cause these are still my favorite ford trucks.

This is the greatest place for ford truck info there is.

Dont worry about the 6.0 I am driving a 04 (9-03) 6.0 with 140,000 miles on the clock and have had very few issues with it. There are many guys just 2 forums up that will tell you anything you need to know about the 6.0. Sorry about the wreck, hope all is well.

Tj, there where 180,000 on the clock. The truck ran really good though. I had done a few things a tymar Intake (witch I loved) strait Pipe. I was saving up for gauges.

The only time the truck left me was on the Deer hunt last fall. Me and my dad and little brother was on top of the Bookcliffs and the gpr went south on me and didn't want to start. But thanks to you guys on this forum I new what to do to get us off the top.

I'm always amazed the value 95.5 - 97 trucks retain in value. Holly cow .. $13K + good deal. Probably why they are so hard to find in this area.

Hate to ask but what insurance company? I went with Geico for price at the time, only $500.00 a year for basic liabilty. But I have been thinking of getting better coverage.

it wasn't my insurance company. It was my son driving to his diesel mechanics class with 3 other students, when a box van (like a UPS truck) came at him sliding all over the road and took out the right front corner. There insurance company was the CNA Group, It was a hard fight to get them to come up with a fair Price. the First price thay offered my was 10,000 bucks, and told them to take a hike. then they come back with 11,000 Bucks, and we had a very long discusion about it. the next day when they called they finaly cam up with a fair price. So the moral to the story is they will always low ball you first. Rember they are really buying your rig from you, and you can say no to them. So due your home work and you can get a fair price
