Gang; here's the RIGHT part number....

Oil cooler conversion to standard spin-on filter. The only part you need to do this conversion for the Ford 460 is p/n C9AZ-6890-A. The cost is $12.94 from Northpoint Ford 770-649-5100 - I just bout it.

Thanks Guys,

I hope the part number I gave you earlier helped you get the current part number. Glad you were able to get one.

Mrlaserboy,

Thanks for the number. Actually you had pointed out it was out-of-date, so all I did was walk in with oil filter in hand and ask for the thigamabob that the oil filter screwed onto and the boy at the counter looked it up with no problem.

Cheers...and thanks for the great pix....it should be about 2 weeks and this project will be over (whew!!)....all my pictures of Harrison will then be posted at www.beedzncomputers.com.

C9AZ-6890-A ---- UPDATE ----

This number will get you the same thing I am looking to replace!! Use THIS number -> F1AZ-6850-B. This part will allow you to screw the oil filter directly onto the block!! It has threads on the block side and threads on the filter side - use a HUGE hex wrench or a bolt and double locknut to screw the adapter in. I hope this helps somebody...
