S Stroke:
Actually, the spring slides into and against the BB so they are all housed inside that triangular piece. The problem that raises it's ugly little head is that the spring slides off of that little "Tit" on the Inside of the cap and can put a kink in the spring further restricting the springs compression.

What kind of pressure did you end up with?

idk what pressure i got. aint checked it yet. what would be better than tearing up a tire gauge to check it?

A liguid filled 100 psi fuel pressure gauge with a short hose (the liguid and hose isolate some of the vibration and pulsing).

I 2nd the liquid filled gauge. I used a non-filled one and it was pulsating between 40-60 PSI, not a very accurate. That reminds me I should check it with a gauge when I go home this weekend. Took shim out after I installed new fuel pump and haven't checked since... 75PSI a good pressure folks?

Any decent auto supply place. Auto zone or napa i would imagine. Prob around 10-15 for gauge? that a good guess? not 100% sure... 1 sec i'll run a quick check online...

I got mine at a plumbing supply store. Most hardware stores don't sell them.
I think that I paid $30.00 for mine. While I was messing around with everything I just used some brass fittings and installed it on a semi-permanet basis until I installed my F.P. gauge inside the cab.

I got mine from my local NAPA, about $40 IIRC, but it's been awhile.

2 stroke, maybe. You don't want to go over 80 psi. much over that and the FPR cannot handle it all of the time and it comes apart.

StrokeThis, FPR shim = uses a BB to shim the spring in the Fuel Pressure Regulator that regulates the fuel pressure, thus raising your fuel pressure. Check this site: http://pages.prodigy.net/stevebaz/_i...az/index3.html
There are also several other sites about this (some with pictures). Do a search on here for FPR +shim.
