stuffing a 460 in a 64

13 years ago, when I was 19, I managed to get a 400 with a c-6 into my 66 f100.

In order to do that, I ended up cutting a crossmember out to get my headers in...:-staun

This is something that has never caused me problems, but I have regretted it ever since. I also had to carv out a notch in the frame on the passenger's side and put a small spacer on the motor mount on the driver's side to miss the steering box (by about 1/16th of an inch).

It's been so long that I can't remember the manufacturer of the headers, but since it really didn't work anyway... you probably don't care.

I just purchased a 460 out of a '70 lincoln, so I'm very interested in your solution, as I will someday encounter the same problem; and be searching for the solution you discover.

Aloha... Stew
