-You will not know you are having surgery, unless you are awake when it happens!..If you are having Artho, don't even worry!...After leaving the post op, Barb drove to a Texaco...I walked in bought a beer and smokes, then we went to the ferry for the ride home. I will admit that the knee did hurt the next two days, and was sore for a couple of weeks after that, but I pushed things and did not really take the pills they gave me.

- Water covers 2/3 ds of the earth, and a lot of it is deep!...I guess that is why man learned to swim and make boats...LOL

I agree with you completely, and I was a bit concerned before my surgery last month...I took 4 breaths, then woke up and it was over...It was no big deal.

BTW...Let's move this conversation to the General Chatter thread or a new one...We need to try and keep this one on topic.

I am going to push up the date to reserve the camping from 3 Feb to 31 Jan...I am worried about having the dates unavailable if I wait longer.

I will be reserving 2 standard sites and the group site. I have until 1 Apr 08 to confirm the rafting.

For crying out loud godblessmud...be glad you are young. Wait until you are ancient with a string of colonoscopies hanging over ya and the surgeries start to seem mild. Nothing like a 6-foot garden hose equipped with a video camera snaking its way up your **** to make you realize the pleasant virtues of being young.

As far as deep water...that is why I joined the Coast Guard.

Sorry Placermike for getting off topic on ya...

I am not available for the weekend but will I be welcomed to make a day visit if I bring an appropriate elixir to appease the gawds?

I am going with 2 kids. Depending on the weather, most likely good, I am just thinking about bringing the boat. With plenty of fuel, and not in Lake Easton. For the non-rafters. Site 110 I beleive is wide enough and deep enough to be out of the road.

Scott, I have rafted that river myself with several good friends. We ran out of beer. At the deepest point of the river, it was about waste deep.

The Rolling house will be coming. I can grab the coffee pot. The big stove is still in the camper. 10 gallon propane tank is full and ready for the griddle. Pretty much, if its not there on site, it's in the camper.

Thats what happened the last time i went rafting in Tahoe, about 4 feet of water and a raftful of beer. If it wernt for the latter, the former would have bugged the crap outa me even at only 4 feet deep...

Besides we would use that time to go rock climbing, or offroading, or depending on where it is (i havnt checked a map yet) swing over to my buddies grandpappys ranch and do some bull/bronco riding.
