G2G Info and Roll Call

Our second annual G2G is pretty much set!

Place: Lake Easton State Park
Dates: 20-22 June 2008

Activities: Hard to tell!...There will be plenty of BS. The only planned thing is a Rafting trip on the Yakima and some horseshoes.

What to Expect: Great food, fun and friends.

I do need to know who is very serious about being there. I plan on setting the reservations NLT 3 Feb 08. When I set the reservations, I have to pay for the sites.*** (Based on the number of people commited, I can also determine what I need to reserve.)

Please limit your posts in this thread to attending the G2G and whether or not you want to go on the rafting trip.

One tent site and four for rafting. Don't know if Nick can make it or not, but I'd rather pay for him now than have him miss out later!!

We would love for you to join us... Find the stats online here, or contact anyone you see in the forum. Mike and Myself are a good resource for information. It is a camping trip like last year and we all had GREAT fun. We are a diverse croud and get along well. Can we count on seeing you there?

I cant guarentee anything at this point, but if i do go it will be 2-3 people, no rafting, and tent site NOT needed (either sleep in the open or in the truck)

We are getting a gtoup site so if you wish to "grab your girl, pack your siht, and pitch your tent" you can. No rafting? What happened to "Howdy I'm Scott and I'm an adrenaline addict"?

Just a note:...If someone needs a tent for the weekend I can bring a couple of 6-8 man tents. Both are dome type, and very easy to set up.

G2G Needs

It works out best, and cheapest, when we pool our equipment and supplies.
Items for potluck meals, Cooking equipment and wood are all necessary.

Like last year, I will bring some wood, a smoker, camp stove, shoulders for the Saturday dinner, 5 dozen eggs, and some pancake mix for breakfasts.

Barb has volunteered to be a sous chef for dinners and breakfast.

I will have a lantern, some tiki torches and extra tents if needed...Don't worry about staples or spices...I usually bring enough cooking supplies to accomodate any recipe.

Marty...Are you going to bring the breakfast grill again?

If there are any specific cooking requests, let me know. I will make sure I have the supplies and equipment to prepare the item.

It is pretty easy for us to get fresh salmon, clams and oysters, so let me know if this is something I need to bring.

Remember...We eat great at our G2Gs!

Please keep this thread on topic!

Theres only 2 things that i am scared of, and both of themn terrify me.
Number 1 is surgery
Number 2 is deep water

Anything else is no problem

MARTYSTOWRIG 01-20-2008 06:08 PM

Well, The further you sink in to the water the closer you are to the bottom and less deep it is... Right?
