Is there any TN get-togethers goin on in the near future? Also I remember a big F-250 "rally" a year or so ago up in pigeon forge. Are there any plans for this again, or will it be the Excursion/SD rally thats happening on 7-25 to 7-27.
ANyone from the chattanooga area?

there is a post in the events section that says the F100 Supernationals which were in PF are going to be held in Knoxville this year. In May but I don't remember the dates.
If anyone wants to caravan out of Nashville let me know.
There is two big meets this year in Gatlinburg. Smokin' in the Smokies April 10,11,12th hosted by DP-tuners dp-tuner.com. Also check up in the Excursion forum they are having a meet in Gatlinburg on the weekend of July 28th that will be Excursions and Superduties. Also in May Beans Diesel will be holding an event on May 10th in Nashville, few good diesel events.
I know of another Ford truck site thats having a G2G at the Jack Danials Brewery on Feb 9. I'm a member but I know they would be happy for members of FTE to show up since most of them are members of FTE. The other site is FTW. I hope to go this yr. westtntrucker went last yr & he had a good time. The brewery tour is free so your only cost are fuel & food. They plan to meet at the brewery at 9.30 am for the 10am tour them go eat after the tour. Its something you middle Tn. members should check out. I've been a member of the other site 5 yrs & I know the folks at this meet are good people. BTW I'm not promoting the other site, I'm just letting everyone know of a good G2G of diehard Ford truck owners.

When did you hear of that? I was just at Beans a week or so ago and he didn't mention anything about it, but then again he was getting his truck ready for a pull event at the miller that weekend.
Aaaahhhh I gotcha now. I don't tend to hang out in the 7.3 forums so that does explain that. Thanks for the info, I'll have to hollar at Bean and get the particulars. I wasn't expectin his open house to be in May, last year it was early April(and boy was it swamped there that sat.). I should have my new turbo in the ole girl by then, have to hit the dyno if I don't when I'm at Matt's in March.
Your welcome for the info. Should try to make it out to Smokin Tex, they are going to have a dyno and drag, it is a pretty big gathering. Hope you dyno high and smite down those Duracraps and cummaparts. Even though Beans truck is a Fummins :-p.
I'll have to see if there is a CMSA event there in and around Gatlinburg in April for the Smokin one, that way I can combine that trip with two activities.
Last year the had the Rodrun if you have ever been to that. Now thats impressive a 6 mile car show heh.

I haven't been to that, but my mom and one of her friends where thru there when they were having that, so they only got little bits of that show here and there. They had a few pix of it too.
That's what she had said after one day when they were doing pictures of the mountains in gatlinburg and they were on the way back to pigeon forge. One mile of traveling took them 3 hrs and they were inbetween the two towns(can't remember if it was before or after the tunnel) and they were too far out to turn around and go an alternate route.
Yea between Gatlinburg and Piegon Forge it is crazy we took the back roads and wow they are tight, my SD could barely fit through in spots and there was 30 vehicles that followed me it was rough when we met people, rocks on one side and a creek on the other. Unless you are going to set and watch all day and know the back roads avoid it at all possible though it is great to see.

If they were tight for your 250, then I imagine I would be a little white knuckled driving my 350 DRW down those roads. My girlfriend and I have only traveled that way during the off times, so we never had a problem with that main stretch of road being too crowded to need to go another way and after seeing you post that I'm glad of that.
